Trip description

Enjoy a full day excursion and visit two of the most beautiful castles of Eastern Europe: The Peles Castle and the Cantacuzino Castle. The Peles Castle is a masterpiece of German and new-Renaissance architecture, built at the end of the 19th century. It served as summer residence for the royal family until 1947. The interiors are spectacular, presenting the finest examples of European art, Murano crystal chandeliers, valuable paintings and furniture. After some time at leisure, continue to the alpine resort, Busteni, where the famous Cantacuzino Palace is located. The castle was founded in 1911, built for the Prince Gheorghe Grigore Cantacuzino, former Prime Minister of Romania. The castle is built in Neo-Romanian style and offers a beautiful park with waterfalls and fountains. In the afternoon, you enjoy a scenic coach ride on your way back to Bucharest, where you return to your hotel and say farewell from your local guide.
